THE JAMWELLY FOUNDATION

In October 2021 I had a quick trip over after being unable to travel due to the pandemic. It was 2 years since I was last there and so much seemed to have changed. My aim was to work with Isatou in Class 1 (the daycare class) to look at all the resources she had and how we could make the class into more of a play room for the youngest children at Sunshine School. It was a very successful visit although a week or two more would have been wonderful, to really help Isatou with such a big change to what she knows in terms of teaching through play. We completely emptied the classroom and then selected the resources and play areas we wanted to create. I didn't have time to do some of the little bits of training I had thought about but Isatou was very accommodating and really has taken on board many of the things we discussed. I did manage to squeeze in a visit to Bijilo Nursery School were the playground we sent over is being stored in the container it travelled in. Fingers crossed this will find it's way to Sunshine in 2022 ! Here are some photos of my trip
