THE JAMWELLY FOUNDATION
Our Projects
Jamwelly Community Development
This project is a long term project and will be a work in progress for many years. The ultimate aim here is to provide education and rehabilitation facilities for adolescents and adults, aswell as generating income for the schools and some employment opportunities for local people. It will become a central place for the village and as such is also vital to the development of Jamwelly. The project as a whole is estimated to cost approximately £150,000 but the benefits to this community are far greater.
The community development will include; community centre, rehabilitation centre, healthcare clinic, cultural centre with traditional accommodation for tourists and volunteers and a multi-sports court.
Until funds can be raised to realise this development. The school is farming the land to assist with other smaller developments such as building a wall around the 2 schools and providing food each day for the children, who typically survive off one meal a day

Sunshine School Garden
The school is currently farming the Community Development land growing a variety of crops, such as; Aubergine, Okra, Peppers and Chillies, to assist with other smaller developments such as building a wall around the 2 schools, providing food each day for the children, who typically survive off one meal a day and helping to pay salaries.
A borehole has been installed to provide a much needed water supply, along with agricultural drip pipes that feed the water directly to the vegetables.
