How to Help

SPONSOR A CHILD

For £50 a year you can sponsor a child to attend the Nursery School. Your sponsorship money will contribute to a new school uniform, shoes and school bag. It will also help to pay for the child a much needed daily meal and a small amount will go towards the running costs of the school

VOLUNTEER

The Gambia is a beautiful country commonly named the smiling coast of Africa. Once visited you will want to return year on year. We can make a great difference by volunteering helping people of the village and teachers at the school to develop their skills. We do not impose our ways upon them, we learn from each other. It is vital to gain an understanding of their culture, traditions, challenges and barriers in order to have an impact. If you are interested in a volunteering holiday please click on the link below

SPONSOR A PROJECT

There is lots to do to in the development of the school and village. Perhaps you are able to sponsor a specific part of the project; such as the build of a classroom,  installation of a borehole to supply fresh drinking water or help to develop the schools vegetable garden.  Perhaps you are able to sponsor a class by providing the books, pencils etc each school year.

MAKE A DONATION

Every donation we receive is both precious and making an immense difference to the lives of some of the poorest people in the world today. You can make one off or regular monthly donations.

CORPORATE SUPPORT

Our projects in the village are ambitious to say the least and whilst we strive to fundraise to realise our ambition, we would welcome any corporate companies that may be able to make a significant investment. Please contact us for further details. Your support can make a huge difference to many people

DAILY MEAL

Many of the children are living with just one meal a day. It is crucial the children receive a good healthy breakfast to start their day and as such we strive to provide this every day. For £20 a year one child could receive a hearty bowl of porridge each school day.

MINI BUS

Are you able to raise funds to help the school purchase a minibus ? In The Gambia Bush Taxis run daily routes taking people town to town. Most are run down vehicles that we would see not fit for purpose but they are good little earners for schools and provide substantial income, often paying the teachers wages. It would be amazing to provide a good vehicle for this purpose.
